YO YO MA CONCERT TICKETS


Yo Yo Ma was born in Paris to Chinese parents. Both parents were musicians.
When he was 7 year old they moved to New York.

Ma began studying violin, and later viola, before taking up the cello in 1960 at age four. He began performing before audiences at age five.

At eight year old he performed on television in a concert conducted by Leonard Bernstein and by fifteen Ma has graduated from high school and was playing as a soloist with Harvard Radcliffe Orchestra.

He studied at the Juilliard School of Music and Columbia University, before enrolling at Harvard University

“Ma has been referred to as “omnivorous” by critics, and possesses a more eclectic repertoire than is typical for classical musicians.”

His repertoire includes recoding of Baroque pieces using the period’s instruments and American Bluegrass music or Chinese melodies with soundtracks to the Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, etc.
